What are skin boosters?
'Skin boosters' are an injectable treatment that is designed to deliver deep skin hydration. We use a product called Profhilo, also sometimes referred to as a skin booster.
Profhilo gives the skin a beautiful rejuvenated look. It acts as an internal moisturiser and improves skin quality, texture, and appearance. It is perfect for treating dull, tired-looking skin; fine lines and wrinkles; and areas of skin damage, for example from acne or sun damage.
Why?
Unlike conventional hyaluronic acid treatments, Profhilo hydrates the skin from within to lift and tighten while boosting the natural collagen and elastin production. By combining Profhilo with dermal fillers, we can strengthen the scaffolding of the skin in an instant, while Profhilo reboots our collagen and elastin over time.
Profhilo can be used to improve the signs of ageing on the face (particularly the cheeks), the neck, décolletage, chest, stomach, inner arms, hands and knees.
When should I start?
Generally, from the age of 30 and up is suitable, as Profhilo is an ideal treatment for patients who have noticed the first signs of skin laxity, or have visible signs of skin ageing. Where Profhilo is used to improve acne scarring, for example, it may be suitable to have the treatment at a younger age.
